Statue of the famous monk Xuan Zong outside the Big Wild Goose Pagoda where he stayed for 11 years after his return from India, studying and translating the Bhuddist scriptures. The Pagoda is also used for the safe keeping of invaluable ancient works, including paintings, calligraphy and sculpture.
