Bust of Sabuncuoglu Serefeddin [1386-1470] set up in the front courtyard of the Bimarhane Medresesi or Darussifa. Serefeddin was the most famous doctor and surgeon in the period of Fatih Sultan Mehmet and worked at the Medresesi for 14 years and was the author of several learned medical books.
