The main entrance to the Da Gonbei Mosque in Linxia which we stopped off to have a look at and break our bus journey to Xiahe. A gongbie is a term used by Hui people in Northwest China for an Islamic shrine complex centered on the grave of a Sufi master: the Da Gonbei Mosque in Linxia contains the remains of Khawaja Abdul-Allah a descendent of Muhammad and important leader of the Qadiriyya order of Islam.
